The ultra-thin heating cable is sandwiched between two layers of reinforced aluminium foil. This aluminium foil not only diffuses the heat evenly across the mat, but also acts as a constant earth layer within the floor construction. The Foil heating system is designed to sit directly beneath laminates and wooden floors and can be held in place with duct tape which means there is no requirement for self-levelling and heat up times should be minimal.
The Argent Foil Mat is available in a variety of sizes ranging from 1.0m² to 12.0m² and can be connected in parallel together to fit larger areas. It is recommended that you aim to heat 85% of the floor area and use our Palziv Insulation which is specifically designed to protect the aluminium on the heating mat and reducing heat loss to achieve a primary heat source. These electric underfloor heating mats are available in 150W/m².
